This is what Stewart Mason had to say about Tompot Blenny: The mostly acoustic duo Tompot Blenny (obscurely named after a small intertidal fish) released two of the first five singles on the Sarah Records offshoot Shinkanshen in 1996, then laid low for nearly a full half-decade before finally releasing their first album, Found Under Blankets, in November 2000. On the album, singer Carl and guitarist Craig (in true Sarah fashion, they're identified only by their first names) are joined by new drummer Alan. Similarly, the acoustic jangle and breathy harmonies of earlier songs like "The Short-Haired Girl in the Left-Legged Pineapple" is enriched though not replaced by a greater emphasis on electric guitars and a more prominent rhythm section. "Don't Let Her Know" and the tender title track are in the languid style of the earlier material, while other songs, especially the fully electric and almost rocking "Real Life Scooby Doo," are more energized. The combination works quite well, avoiding the sort of listener fatigue an entire album of twee little acoustic miniatures can bring on.

Once in a while something special comes through the doors of our recording studio. This was certainly one of them. This trio of tracks is a testament to what can be done with a combination of good song writing, excellent musicians and a top performance. Combine this with years of recording knowledge and a superb finalising and mastering to get a fantastic set of tracks.

Steve is certainly one of the most talented song writers in Nottingham. The amount of material and the quality is constantly increasing. The only problem is not having enough time to record all of this top quality material.
Steve's precise and rhythmic acoustic guitar when combined with his gentle and emotional vocals gives a fresh and current feel to his music.
We've also added a couple of jam tracks that Steve performed very recently where he was accompanied by Marty Fisher on Bass and Billy Fisher on Drums. This shows another side to Steve with some jazzy and driven electric guitar. |

New Generation Superstars first blazed onto the scene in 2005 with their no frills, no fuss rock music. Too punk for the rock crowd, and too rock for the punk crowd, NGS forged a sound that appealed to all. Speeding up the tempo and turning up the amps, it wasn’t long before NGS had attracted a local following with growing momentum that spread across the nation with both fans and music press alike.
Serving their time on the road, NGS have played headline shows, also being the support band of choice for acts such as Duff McKagan’s Loaded, The Wildhearts, The 69 Eyes, Supersuckers, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Hardcore Superstar and more.
NGS continue to be one of the hardest working bands in rock, gaining the respect and dedication from more new fans at every show. |

Gutsy, heavy, raw Punk. A fantastic group of musicians fronted by one of the best female Punk vocalists we have seen or recorded. |

Fun, fun, fun - all the way with this band. This is not only reflected in their songs, but also in the recordings.
They came, they recorded, they had a great deal of fun and were fabulous to work with. |

Possibly one of the best Free / Bad Company tribute bands to ever take a stage. The gritty vocals, the smooth bass, the smashing drums and the awesome guitar make for some great tracks. The only thing better than hearing these recordings would have been to see the original line-up live! |
