Paul Hose – (Drums)

Not only is Paul known and respected as a teacher, but as a concert performer, and recording artist too. Paul’s live work includes television broadcast productions, arena concerts, festivals, touring theatre shows and much more. Paul has worked with a host of artists from across the musical spectrum including Country star, Sarah Jory, The English National Ballet, Grammy award-winning Tom Chapin, producer Steve Chapin and guitar virtuoso, Lee Wrathe. Paul also toured extensively with the A1 Events production, “To be Frank,” a tribute to Sinatra and the Rat Pack under the musical direction of Matt Stacey over a six-year period.

Recent and forthcoming collaborations are equally as diverse including Hip-Hop rapper, Duke 01, DJ Johnny Crump and world-renowned musicians – organist, Brett Wales and bassist, Karl Bingham. As an educator, Paul has taught and given lectures (in a clinic environment) in his native UK and in Spain, Singapore, USA and Brazil.

Paul’s work in education has been recognised by the Vic Firth Company who awarded Paul with “An outstanding contribution to teaching.”
February 2010 saw Paul perform with the Chapin family at the Paramount Theatre in New York city as part of the Jim Chapin memorial concert. Jim taught Paul for some six years and performing at the memorial amongst a host a legendary musicians was an honour.

Current projects include the development of a series of online lessons for Modern Drummer magazine, a new and exciting interactive educational experience which is set for release in September 2012 and an album with Duke 01 and Johnny Crump. Paul also works closely with producer, David Buckley at Curly Lead studios.

Richard Kensington – (Percussion)

Richard first took to the drums during his early life living on the island of St Lucia in The Caribbean. Since then he has gone on to study Afro-Cuban drumming in the UK and on many occasions in Cuba, since his first visit in 2002. He has studied with bands such as Clave Y Guaguanco, Afro Cuba de Matanzas, El Septeto Nacionál De Ignacio Piñero and La Orquesta Sublime.

He has also studied intensively with Santiago Garzon Rill ‘Chaguito’ during every visit to Cuba. Chaguito has become Richard’s mentor over the years and this relationship was at the heart of the collaboration that saw Más Y Más travelling to Havana where they recorded their third album ‘La Bala’. Richard also plays alongside Simon Bowhill and Dave Boston in The Axis Percussion Trio, dedicated to the playing, study and promotion of Afro-Cuban percussion.

He is a committed educator having worked for over 12 years in a great variety of educational settings with a number of his pupils having followed in his footsteps to Cuba. Since 2009 Richard has also been working more intensively with music in health care settings through OPUS, specialists in music and health.

Richard has played with Rikki Thomas-Martinez and Wayne D. Evans in Más Y Más since 1998 playing on every gig and album with the band since then. He has toured extensively round Europe and the far-east with his favourite gig to date being to 20,000 people in the Rainforest in Sarawak, Borneo. Richard has also played and recorded with Rich and Famous, The Last Pedestrians, Muha, Shmoov, Bass Tone Slap, Orquesta Timbala and is featured on two albums by Zoë Johnston.

Karl (Moses) Bingham – (Bass)

Mid 80`s he founded The WKBC Backing Band; A reggae/soul backing band, which has backed and recorded numerous soul artist such as:

Al Kent, Curtis Mayfield, Jimmy Ruffin, JJ Barns, Kim Western, Freddie Terell, The Marvelets, Mary Wells, Pat Lewis, Edwin Star, Major Lance. The Royal Rass, The Mighty Diamonds, Dennis Brown.

Brett Wales – (Keys)

Brett Wales

He is still as he has always been freelance but since 2005 he has had the pleasure of being a key demonstrator for Korg, performing shows for them on their PA2X keyboard. Korg are a very well-known company worldwide and have a very good name for producing fantastic keyboards, many of which have revolutionised the world of music over the years. It is a very big honour for Brett as well as being another string to the ever-growing bow of Brett Wales.

Brett has played concerts in Germany, the Netherlands and all over the UK, delighting audiences wherever he performs with his own unique style and sound.

Dave Buckley – (Lead & Rhythm Electric & Acoustic Guitars)

Dave has been a professional musician for most of his life and has over 25 years experience as a Professional Guitar Tutor. Recorded and performed with various bands and even toured with likes of Budgie and Jack Bruce. Auditioned for several named rock acts during the 80’s.

As lead guitarist for arguably of the best Tribute Acts around in the last 10 years, Dave toured and rocked some of the best venues and Blues Festivals in the country with Free & Co (The Uk’s No.1 Free and Bad Company tribute act).

Dave is the proud owner and head of production at the studio and is often asked to session on artists songs.
